2019 Fall Trimester
The 2019 Fall Trimester is divided into two 5-week segments: The first half with Peter Gric and the second half with Kevin Campeau.
During the first 5-week course Peter Gric will share methods in texturing the paint through decalcomania, scraping and patina to build up the composition in layers using airbrush underpainting and acrylic finishes. Students will create their own planetary landscape as an atmospheric environment for allegorical figures that express their inner world.
During the second 5-week course Kevin Campeau will show you new ways of connecting with your inner self while guiding you in the creation of two paintings in oils over acrylics. Through Inner Journeying and Automatic Drawing we will explore spontaneous form generation and collectively lift the veil to dive deeply into a myriad of painting techniques.
- Tuition for the whole trimester (10 weeks) with both teachers is €3300
- Tuition for 5 weeks with a single teacher is €2000
2020 Winter Trimester
The 2020 Winter Trimester is divided into two 5-week segments: The first half with Olga Klimova and the second half with Li Lian Kolster.
During the first 5-week course Olga Klimova will offer a meditative approach to painting, beginning with organic patterns in fluid acrylics, then progressing to compositions based on digital media and design, and finishing with a mixture of alla prima painting & glazing in oils.
During the second 5-week course, Li Lian Kolster will offer chanting & shamanic meditations to connect you with your spirit animal, who will become a guide for the visions & inspiration in your painting. Using a ‘direct approach’ to acyrlics, you will work from general to specific, establishing values directly with colour, and finishing with fine details to bring your spirit animal to life.
- Tuition for the whole trimester (10 weeks) with both teachers is €3300
- Tuition for 5 weeks with a single teacher is €2000
2020 Spring Trimester
The 2020 Spring Trimester is divided into two 5-week segments. Students may study with Daniel Mirante for either the first or second half, but are encouraged to attend the full trimester by being given a €500 discount.
Explore the spiritual & contemplative power of image-making with Daniel Mirante as he guides you through the venerable principles of the Mischtechnik, a layered approach to oil & egg tempera that evokes the inner worlds, transfiguring visions of the sacred into paint.
(We regret that, due to travel complications, Joseph Skala is not able to teach during the second half of the Spring Trimester)
- Tuition for the first or second half of the trimester (5 weeks) is €2000
- Tuition for the whole trimester (10 weeks) is reduced €500 from
€3300to €2800
